We have chosen 3 recipes with Gorgonzola - a salad, delicious bruschetta and a tasty and relatively quick to make dessert. The salad recipe is first. It is made with tomatoes, if you like you can buy cherry tomatoes - the salad turns out delicious in both cases. And here it is:
Salad with Gorgonzola and figs
Ingredients: green salad, 2 figs, 4 tomatoes, 4.5 oz Gorgonzola, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt.
Preparation: First, wash the green salad well, let it drain and cut it (if you like, shred it) into a suitable bowl. Cut the tomatoes into quarters and add them to the salad. The figs you intend to use need to be ripe, in order to be sweet enough.
Cut them into small pieces and throw them in the bowl. Finally, dice the cheese, add it to the bowl and season the salad with salt, olive oil and just a little apple cider vinegar. Stir carefully, in order to keep the ingredients whole.
The next Gorgonzola recipe is for a dessert - very easy to make and refined enough at the same time to serve to guests. We are talking about pancakes with cocoa, which we will roll up with a filling of the cheese.
To make the pancakes, combine about 1/2 cup flour, 1-2 tbsp cocoa in a suitable bowl. In a separate container, whisk 2 eggs, 1 tbsp sugar, about 1 1/5 cups milk and 1-2 tbsp melted butter.
Then add the flour and cocoa - stir, and once the mixture becomes homogeneous, you can begin frying the pancakes.
Once they are ready, smear them with the following blend, made from cream cheese, Gorgonzola and 1 tbsp honey. Crush the Gorgonzola with a fork, stir in the honey, cream cheese, then coat the pancakes.
Wrap into a roll and sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Optionally, you can add finely ground nuts to the filling.
The last proposal is for bruschetta with Gorgonzola and ham. To make them, you will need bread (can use baguettes), olive oil, garlic, ham, Gorgonzola, a bit of thyme, black pepper. First, cut the bread into slices and coat them with olive oil.
Put them to bake in the oven, then take them out, rub them with a clove of garlic, sprinkle with a little black pepper and arrange pieces of ham and Gorgonzola on top. Optionally, sprinkle with a little thyme and put to bake in the oven once again.
