How to Sauté Shrimp?

Shrimp are rich in protein that adds flavor to any dish and are quick to cook. They can be served warm or chilled.

Buy peeled and chopped shrimp, use chopped garlic if you want it in your recipe (though fresh is preferable).

Sautéing is a technology in which food is processed briefly at a high temperature and with little fat.

Sautéing shrimp in butter brings out their slightly sweet flavor.

Using lemon in the recipe adds freshness and garlic adds flavor.

You can also add some leftover bacon fat if you like. From the seasonings, choose paprika, chopped basil, add chopped spinach, a handful of chopped Kalamata olives and a little parmesan cheese.

Add some white wine to the garlic butter sauce before adding rice or pasta.

If using frozen shrimp, place the shrimp in the refrigerator overnight. To thaw quickly, place the shrimp in a colander and run them under very cold (never hot) water for a few minutes.

Do not overcook the shrimp, they should be pink on all sides. Once sautéed, remove the shrimp from the pan so they don't continue to cook from the heat of the pan.

See how these recipes are prepared:

- breaded shrimp;

- king prawns;

- grilled shrimp.
