How to Make Turkey Broth?

Broth is generally prepared from the bones of an animal and from vegetables along with hot water and various spices added to them. Carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms and garlic are most often used for broth. In addition to cooking with it, it can also be drunk directly.

It's good to know that homemade broth can be stored for about a week in the refrigerator or up to a month in the freezer.

Here is an easy recipe for homemade turkey broth, which is relatively easy and very tasty.

Products required:

About 1 kg of turkey bones or 2 turkey legs

about 1/2 bunch fresh parsley

3 carrots - peeled and chopped

1 1/2 onions - diced

1/2 cup celery - diced

2 bay leaves

1/2 tsp. black pepper grains

a little olive oil or oil for frying

Method of preparation:

Heat the fat in a saucepan over medium heat and lightly fry the vegetables. Add water.

Turkey bones and spices. The water should cover everything.

As it boils, foam will form on the surface of the turkey broth, which needs to be removed.

When the broth boils, reduce the heat and boil for about 2.5 hours.

If necessary, add a little water. If you want it to be more concentrated, you should not add water.

When the turkey broth is ready, remove it from the heat and strain it with a colander.

Leave it to cool and put it in the fridge. You can store the turkey broth in there for no more than a week.
