The variety of toppings make pizza an extremely universal and suitable for every taste food, which is a favorite of many. Apart from the freedom we are given when choosing toppings, pizza is incredibly easy and quick to prepare.
The only thing we have to make is the dough.
To give you an idea of how much dough you need for a pizza, we will look at an example recipe:
Water, flour, yeast, sugar, salt and olive oil are used for the dough. In particular - 1.1 lb (500 g) of flour, 10 fl oz (300 ml) of water (slightly warm), one packet of dry yeast 0.25 oz (7 g) or about one tablespoon / half a cube of fresh yeast (20 grams), 1 tbsp. of salt, 1 tbsp. of sugar and about 2 tbsp (30 ml) of olive oil.
The yeast and sugar are added to the warm water (it should not be hot, so that we not ruin the yeast!).
The flour is sifted into a deep bowl, the water with the yeast is added to it, after 5 minutes have passed, the mixture is mixed well and finally the salt is added, because it slows down the action of the yeast. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes, by gradually adding a little olive oil.
The finished dough will be about 1.7 lb (800 g) - this can be divided into 4 small pizzas.
Each pizza will be 7 oz (200 g) and about 8″ (20 cm) in diameter.
It can be divided into 2 large pizzas of 0.9 lb (400 g), which will have a diameter of 18″ (45 cm) each.
Once you have made the dough, the most enjoyable part follows - the delicious additions on top!
