Knowing the delicious celery, we realize its health benefits and its help for losing weight. Celery is increasingly present in soups, stews and other main dishes, even celery salads.
However, a whole celery purchased from the market or vegetable store is rarely used. Most recipes require one or two twigs, or part of a root.
The rest must be preserved in some way and if not stored properly - we risk the celery leaves to turn yellow, soften, lose their juiciness, or simply put, we risk throwing them away.
Here's how we can store celery leaves for longer:
Wash and dry the celery. Clean all dirt and damage. Cut the edges with a sharp knife. Wrap the dried celery in kitchen paper, then place it in a plastic bag and store it in the refrigerator.
Another way to store celery leaves is by wrapping them in aluminum foil. The procedure is the same, but you can wrap the stalks of celery with aluminum foil and put them back in the refrigerator.
The most important thing is to keep the ideal moisture in the leaves of celery and this can be achieved in these two ways.
The paper towel between the celery and the bag allows the product to breathe without losing too much moisture.
The foil also maintains optimal humidity for a certain period of time.
These are the right ways to store celery leaves and not just by dipping their stems in a glass of water!
