How to make
Dissolve the yeast in a little warm milk and 2-3 tbsp flour. Add 1 1/5 cups (300 g) flour, then subsequently add the oil, sugar, grated lemon rind, salt and 2 eggs.
Knead a soft dough, leave it to rise for about 30 min. (until it roughly doubles in volume).
Roll out a thick sheet and cut out circles with a glass. Arrange them in a floured tray, leave for another 20 min. to sit.
Fry in heated oil on both sides. Put them on a paper towel to drain from the oil.
To make the cream, put the milk to come to a boil. Separately, mix together the eggs, flour, sugar, 1 1/5 cups (300 ml) milk and pour it into the hot milk in a trickle while stirring nonstop until thickened. At the end, add the butter with vanillas and leave to cool.
Fill the donuts with the cream using a pastry bag and sprinkle with powdered sugar!
