How to make
Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water. Drain and leave to cool completely, then cut into round slices.
In a bowl for mixing, put the mince, crumble the bread, chop the onions finely, season with the spices and break the egg. Knead well and leave to sit in a cool area about 30 min.
Arrange part of the potato slices in a round, medium-sized tray, along the bottom and walls.
Shape medium-sized meatballs from the mince, arrange them on top of the potatoes, put potato slices in between them as well.
Separately, mix the cream and milk in a pitcher. Pour this over the meatballs. Bake in a preheated 390°F (200 °C) oven for 1 hour, then sprinkle with cheese and finish baking until the cheese gains a nice crisp.
