Ingredients

  • flour - 2 cups
  • brown sugar - 2/3 cup
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • cocoa - 3 tablespoons, powdered
  • eggs - 1
  • milk - 1 1/4 cups
  • oil - 2/3 cup or butter
  • orange zest - 1 tablespoon
  • essence - 1 tsp orange - flavored or liqueur
  • dark chocolate - 2 oz (50 g) crumbled

How to make

Mix the sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and cocoa in a bowl.

Separately, beat the egg, milk and oil/butter. Carefully add the dry mixture to them in lots, while beating nonstop.
