How to make
Sift the flour with the baking powder and form a well. Break the 2 eggs in it.
Add the heated milk, oil, sugar and salt. Extinguish the baking soda with 1 tbsp vinegar and once effervescent, add it.
Knead a soft dough and leave it to rest for 30 min, covered with a towel. To make the pita more holiday-like, you can divide it up into separate parts and form those into flowers in turn.
Here's an easy way that doesn't take too long but still makes it look good.
Stretch out the dough into a long wick and cut it into 16 pieces, form those into balls.
Subsequently, roll out each ball into a small pita 4″ (10 cm) in diameter onto a sprinkled with flour surface. Overlap 4 of the pitas in a row, to make a step-like arrangement.
Make 4 groups of 4 pita step arrangements. Sprinkle each arrangement with crumbled feta cheese and a little cut butter on top of it. Wrap the 4 pitas together into a roll, keeping them together. Do this for all.
Cut each roll through the middle with a knife. Arrange the resulting 8 pitas like stumps with the cut part facing the bottom of a tray that's 11″ (28 cm) wide, laid out with baking paper and sprinkled with 2 tbsp oil. That way, the rounded parts of the rolls will provide a rose-like appearance.
Put the pita in the oven and turn it on to 360°F (180 °C). I baked with the fan on for 45 min.
Once you take it out of the oven, while still hot, smear the pita with butter on top. Cover with a towel and leave it for 10 min.
