How to make
Heat the milk and set aside about 1 cup of it in a bowl, add the sugar, yeast and 2 tbsp flour.
Leave it to activate, beat the egg with the remaining milk and oil. Sift the flour, make a well and pour both mixtures in it. Knead a medium stiff dough, smear it with oil, cover and leave it to rise.
Once it's ready, divide it into balls the size of a small apple, shape them well, put them in a tray covered with baking paper and make cuts using a sharp knife. Leave them to rise, covered, then bake in a preheated 340°F (170 °C) oven.
Once slightly reddened, take them out and put strips of cheese and round onion slices on top. Return to the oven with just the top element on to melt the cheese slightly.
After taking it out, sprinkle with mixed spices.
