Ingredients

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp

How to make

First, prepare the mixture for smearing the sheets. Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk, add the sugar, salt, oil and stir well.

Leave it aside for 10-15 min. while you make the filling. Add the crumbled feta cheese and cottage cheese to the egg white and stir well.

There's 5 phyllo pastry sheets per package. Take a sheet, soak it well with the mixture, distributing it with a brush. Leave it for 1-2 min. to soak it in, sprinkle with the filling and start rolling it up from the shorter side into a not-too-tight roll. Put it in the container you intend to bake, which you've laid out with baking paper.

Repeat for the rest of the sheets until out of ingredients. Cut the prepared phyllo pasties in 4. Smear them with the beaten together egg yolk, milk and oil. Put in the oven and bake at 390°F (200 °C) until ready.

The end result is incredibly fluffy and tasty phyllo pasties.
