Ingredients

  • pork - 2.5 lb (1.2 kg), neck, deboned
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • oil
  • soy sauce
  • butter - 1/5 cup (55 g)
  • beer - 1 cup (250 g)

How to make

Cut the pork neck into steaks about 1/2″ (1 cm) thick. Tenderize them lightly. Salt them, season with black pepper, smear lightly with oil and soy sauce.

Leave them to take in the spices for 1/2 an hour in the fridge.

Crisp the steaks for a few min. in a lightly oiled pan on both sides.

Arrange them in an oven dish. Place a thin slice of butter onto each steak. Pour on the beer and cover the oven dish with foil.

Put it in the oven on the lower element at 410°F (210 °C). After 30-40 min., remove the foil and finish baking until they're left in just oil.

I haven't listed quantities for the spices - add them according to taste.
