How to make
Wash the gherkins with cold water. In 3 1/3 cups (800 g) jars, pour in 1 finger width of vinegar. Add 1 tbsp sea salt, 1 tbsp sugar, 4-5 black pepper grains, 2-3 allspice grains.
Stuff the jars with gherkins, while putting bunches of dill in between them. Pour in water up to the rim. Close with caps and sterilize for 5 min. until they change color, in order to remain crunchy.
Leave them to cool in the water they were boiled in. Once cooled, take them out and store in a dark and cool area. The perfect winter appetizer!
