  • eggs - 5 whites
  • sugar - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • vanilla - 1
  • starch - 2 tbsp, natural
  • almonds - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g), sliced
  • oil - 1 tbsp, for smearing the baking paper

  • mascarpone - 1 cup (250 g)
  • confectionery cream - 2/5 cup (100 ml), liquid
  • powdered sugar - 3 tbsp
  • strawberries - 2/3 cup (150 g)

How to make

Whisk the egg whites to snow, while gradually adding the sugar. Finally, add the vanilla, starch and beat again briefly.

Lay out an oven dish with oiled baking paper and pour on the mixture evenly. Sprinkle with almonds and bake in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven for about 15 min.

Take the cake layer out and wait 5 min. for it to cool. Invert it onto another sheet of baking paper and remove the one on top.

Beat the mascarpone, powdered sugar and confectionery cream together. Add the chopped strawberries and stir.

Smear the fully cooled cake layer with cream and wrap it into a roll using the baking paper.
