Ingredients

  • for the filling
  • walnuts - 1 1/5 cups (300 g)
  • hazelnuts - 1 1/5 cups (300 g)
  • almonds - 1 1/5 cups (300 g)
  • honey - 1/2 cup
  • for the syrup
  • honey - 1 cup
  • lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • sugar - 1 cup

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • olive oil - 4 tbsp
  • sesame seeds - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • flour - 2 cups (500 g)

How to make

Prepare the dough by sifting the flour with the salt, add the olive oil, the juice of the lemon and 1 cup of water. Knead a dough and leave it in a bowl. Mix together the nuts for the filling and bake in a dry pan for 5 min.

Cut them coarsely. Put them in a bowl, add the honey and stir. Divide the dough into 3 equal parts. Roll out the first one into a large, thin circle and put it in an oiled tray.

Put half of the filling on top. Place another thin circle of dough and cover with the remaining filling. Make the last thin circle of dough and cover the nuts. Pinch the edges together. Sprinkle with a little water and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Make cuts with a sharp knife along the pie and bake for 40 min at 360°F (180°C). Combine the sugar, honey and lemon juice and boil for 5 min. on low heat. Pour this syrup over the hot pie then serve once cooled.
