How to make

First, the sugar syrup is prepared. For this purpose, pour a cup and a half of water into a pot and add a cup and a half of sugar.

The pot is placed on the stove and after the syrup boils, it is removed from the stove. Add the lemon juice and leave to cool.

Put the butter in a small baking tray and melt it. Spread half of the kadaif in the baking tray, press it down with your hands, and spread the shredded mozzarella on top.

Add the remaining kadaif and press again with your hands.

The künefe is baked in an oven preheated to 390°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes. Then it is taken out and with the help of a plate, it is turned over to cook on the other side.

The successfully roasted künefe is poured with the already cooled sugar syrup and sprinkled with crushed pistachios. Serve warm while the mozzarella is still melting.
