Ingredients

  • eggs - 3
  • sugar - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • soft butter - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • fresh milk - 5 fl oz (150 ml)
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • whole grain flour - 1 1/2 cups
  • plums - 6 - 7 pcs.
  • honey - 5 tbsp. for spreading
  • sugar - for sprinkling

How to make

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until white. Add half of the melted butter, the fresh milk and finally the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder. Mix with a spoon into a smooth cake batter.

In a cake tin, smeared with the rest of the butter, sprinkle 2-3 tbsp. sugar and arrange slices of plums in the shape of a flower.

Pour the dough over them and bake in a heated oven at 360°F (180°C) , until a wooden toothpick comes out dry. It takes usually 30-35 minutes.

Remove the cake by inverting onto a plate.

The top is liberally smeared with honey, which immediately soaks into the cake.

Cut the cooled fruit cake and serve.

The plum and honey cake is ready.
