  • eggs - 3
  • sugar - 6.4 oz (180 g)
  • mascarpone - 9 oz (250 g)
  • oil - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • flour - 10 oz (280 g)
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • apples - 2
  • chocolate drops - 4 tbsp.
  • almonds - 1.4 oz (40 g)
  • lemon - peel of 1 lemon
  • vanilla essence - 1 tsp.
  • for the sauce
  • egg yolks - 3
  • sugar - 2.1 oz (60 g)
  • corn starch - 0.35 oz (10 g)
  • milk - 12 fl oz (350 g)
  • vanilla essence - 1 tsp.

How to make

Line a 9.5″ (24 cm) baking tin with baking paper.

Beat the eggs with the sugar until foamy. The mascarpone is added to them. The beating continues until the mixture is smooth.

The flour is mixed with the baking powder and sifted.

Add the oil, grated lemon peel, vanilla, 3 tbsp. of the chocolate drops and a spoonful of the flour.

The mixture is poured into the mold.

The apples are peeled and cut into small pieces. They are placed on top of the apple cake.

Sprinkle the remaining chocolate drops and almonds.

The cake is baked at 340°F (170°C) in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.

After it has cooled, it is transferred to the grill until it cools completely.

All the ingredients for the cake sauce are mixed together. Place them on the stove and boil until slightly thickened.
