Ingredients

  • flour - 1 cup whole wheat + 1 cup white
  • semolina - 2 tablespoons, wheat
  • cheese - 1 oz (30 g), grated
  • salt - 2/5 tsp (2 g)
  • feta cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • yoghurt - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml)
  • olive oil - 4 tablespoons
  • eggs - 1
  • baking powder - 1/2 packet
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • sesame seeds - 2 tsp (10 g)

How to make

Mix together the two types of flour, semolina, baking powder, salt, half the cheese and crumbled feta cheese. Dissolve the baking soda in the yoghurt and beat with an egg and olive oil.

Then add this to the dry mixture and stir with a wooden spoon without kneading. You will get a sticky dough that, with greased hands and a spoon, you need to shape into balls and arrange them on top of one another randomly in a greased and floured tray.

Sprinkle the top with the rest of the grated cheese and sesame seeds. Put the round loaf with whole wheat flour to bake in a preheated to about 370°F (190 °C) oven until browned.
