Fill compote jars, constantly pressing it so that it becomes dense and there is no air, and it remains in its own broth.
Close with screw on lids or with ordinary ones.
Put the jars in a cauldron of water to cover them and when the water boils, wait 20 minutes.
The jarred sauerkraut is ready.
