How to make
The potatoes are boiled in salted water. They are peeled, cut into cubes and mashed with a press while they are still warm.
The melted butter, warmed milk, sour cream and salt to taste are added to the mashed potatoes.
Stir, until a smooth consistency is obtained.
The bacon is cut into cubes and fried in a pan.
Add the fried cubes to the mashed potatoes and stir.
On top of the mashed potatoes, grate Cheddar cheese and, if desired, sprinkle with finely chopped Siberian or spring onions.
Mashed potatoes with bacon and cheddar cheese is a luxury from the retro kitchen, which is still relevant today :)
