"Who would have guessed - a jam from whole figs and grapes for the winter, which puts all other jams to shame"

Ingredients

  • sugar - 2 lb (900 g)
  • figs - 4.4 lb (2 kg) hard
  • grapes - 2 bunches
  • citric acid - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • water - 1 1/2 cups
measures

How to make

Mix the water with the sugar in a suitable pot.

Wash the figs well, clean the grapes from the stems and wash them.

Add them to the water and mix carefully.

Let the figs and grapes cook in the sugar syrup for about 30 minutes on high heat.

Then reduce the heat and let the fig jam boil some more until you think that the jam is ready.

Finally, add the citric acid.

Fill grape jam in clean and dry jars and screw on the lids while it is still warm.

Turn the lids facing down and leave them like this until the whole figs and grapes jam for the winter cools down.
