How to make
The first thing I did is prepare the syrup for the fluffy cake. In a small pot on the stove, I put the ingredients for the syrup, sugar, water and lemon juice.
I heated the mixture and after the sugar melted, I removed the cake syrup from the heat. After it cooled, I put it in the fridge to chill further.
While the syrup itself was boiling, I made the sponge cake layer for the cake. For the sponge cake layer, I first beat the eggs with the sugar until smooth.
Then I added the sifted flour that I had mixed with the baking powder and the vanilla.
In a small suitable baking pan, greased and floured, I poured the mixture I made.
I baked at about 180°C in a preheated oven until a it was fully baked.
I waited 5 minutes for the finished cake to cool, then poured the syrup over it.
And finally I decorated it with confectionery cream and sprinkled it with powdered sugar.
