How to make
The egg whites and yolks are separated. Beat the yolks. Add 1/2 cup of the sugar and 1 tbsp. lukewarm water. They are beaten until they turn white and increase in volume.
Beat the egg whites until snow. The flour is added to them. Mix. Add semolina. Mix again.
The egg white mixture is added to the egg yolk mixture. Mixx well. Take a small baking tray, grease and sprinkle with flour.
The mixture is poured into the tray. Bake in a moderate oven at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes. The oven should not be opened, so that it remains fluffy.
When the revani is baked, let it cool. Cut into equal squares.
In a saucepan pour 3 cups of water and 1 and 1/2 cups sugar. Boil until the sugar melts. A thick sugar syrup is made.
Pour the warm sugar syrup over the cooled revani.
