Beat the eggs very well with the sugar.
Add the oil, the grated pumpkin and the flour mixed with the baking powder spoon by spoon to them.
The resulting thick mixture is poured into a suitable cake tin greased with oil and baked for 35 minutes at 480°F (250°C), then the heat is reduced to 360°F (180°C) and the sponge cake is baked until done.
