Ingredients

  • eggplants - 2 pcs.
  • onion - 1 onion
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • carrots - 1
  • red peppers - 1
  • minced meat - 9 oz (250 g)
  • tomatoes - 1
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • olive oil

  • butter - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • flour - 1 tbsp.
  • milk - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • yellow cheese - 2.1 oz (60 g)

How to make

Cut the eggplants in half. The soft part is cut into strips. They are placed in a tray, salted and drizzled with olive oil.

Bake at 390°F (200°C) until soft.

Use a spoon to carve out the eggplants.

The finely chopped onion, garlic, carrot and pepper are stewed in a pan. Add the minced meat, which is also fried.

Add the carved out part of the eggplants and finally the tomatoes. Cook until the tomato liquid evaporates.

Fill the eggplants with this mixture.

Melt the butter in the saucepan. The flour is added and after it is lightly fried, the cold milk is added.

The sauce is salted and the grated cheese is added.

The resulting sauce is poured over the juicy stuffed eggplants.

The Turkish-Style Stuffed Eggplants with Minced Meat are placed in an oven at 370°F (190°C) and baked for 30 minutes.
