How to make
Sift the flour into a large bowl and make a well in the center. Pour the slightly warmed water (should not exceed body temperature) into it, in which you dissolve the sugar and yeast. Wait a few minutes until it activates and add the olive oil.
Start adding flour a little at a time from the sides of the well to the center, kneading with your fingers until the liquid absorbs all the flour.
Add the salt to the dough and knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. If necessary, add a little flour.
Shape the dough into a ball, place it back into the lightly greased bowl and leave it to rise for 40 minutes, covered with a clean towel or cling film.
Knead the risen dough for about a minute or two and give it the desired bread shape. Make a few cuts with a sharp knife and sprinkle it with flour.
Put the bread in a greased baking pan (in my case - round, 22 cm diameter) and let it rise again for 40-50 minutes, depending on the heat in the room.
Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C) and put a fireproof container with water inside to generate steam. Before putting the bread in, quickly spray the inside of the oven (bottom and sides) with more water and then put the tray in, close the door immediately.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until dark golden brown.
The result is bread with a perfect, crispy and delicious crust, which you can eat while still warm.
Enjoy your meal!
