Ingredients

  • potatoes - about 1 kg boiled and peeled
  • white cheese - about 9 oz (250 g) feta
  • yogurt - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • yellow cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • salami - 7 oz (200 g) or smoked ham
  • oil - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 ml)
  • butter - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • oregano - or a similar spice to your taste
  • parsley - 1 bunch

How to make

First boil the potatoes.

Grease a suitable baking pan with oil and add the medium-sized boiled potatoes and the sliced salami or ham. They are seasoned with salt and oregano.

Mix the eggs with the milk and crumble the white cheese - if you like parsley, add it as well.

Add the mixture to the potatoes, by making sure to cover them. Add the sliced butter on top.

Bake in an oven heated to 390°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, then add the grated yellow cheese and leave it for another 20 minutes to bake until golden.

It is desirable that the gratin is served warm with suitable fresh bread and a glass of wine.

The quick and delicious potato au gratin is ready.
