How to make
Prepare the hot marinade by heating the water in a deep pan on the stove.
Add in the turmeric and a halved clove of garlic. Crush the allspice grains in a mortar to release their aromas.
Grate the nutmeg. Add the spices to the liquid on the stove. Add the cinnamon and ginger powder and allspice. Pour the sugar, vinegar, oil and salt.
Let the mixture boil for 3-4 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Tear the head of cauliflower into small florets. Place them in a jar.
Pour the poppy seeds. Pour the hot marinade to the brim and close the jar.
