Ingredients

  • cabbage - 1/4 of a medium cabbage
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • garlic - 3 - 4 cloves
  • bacon - 3 - 4 slices, smoked
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • oil
  • filo pastry sheets - 8 sheets
  • flour - 1 tsp.
  • oil - for frying

How to make

The cabbage is grated on a coarse grater. Peel the carrots and grate them. The bacon is cut into cubes.

In a pan, heat 3-4 tbsp. oil and the vegetable mixture is fried along with the chopped garlic until the vegetables soften. Add salt to taste. It is removed from the heat and left to cool.

During this time prepare the filo pastry sheets. Fold them into a triangle to get a square. Cut off the excess part. Then fold them in half and cut them in half.

Fold each half in half to a square. One sheet makes 4 squares.

Take 2 pieces of the sheets and put 1 tsp. from the filling in one corner. We fold it like a sarma and stick the end with the flour dissolved in water.

Heat more oil in a saucepan to cover half of the spring roll. Fry on both sides until golden.

Remove and place them onto kitchen paper to drain excess fat.
