Ingredients

  • For the tortilla
  • corn flour - 8 oz (225 g)
  • white flour - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • oil - 1 tbsp.
  • water - 1 cup (250 ml)

  • for the sauce
  • pickles - 1 pc.
  • sour cream - 6.4 oz (180 g)
  • garlic - 1/2 tsp. of granules
  • salt - by taste

How to make

For the tortillas:

Pour the corn flour into a deep bowl, add the white flour, salt, oil and warm water and knead a soft dough. Divide the dough into 8 parts and shape each one into a ball.

Roll out each ball with a rolling pin onto a floured surface the size of a main course plate. Using a silicone brush, remove the excess flour from the surface of the tortilla.

Place aluminum foil on the stove, turn it on to medium heat and bake each tortilla briefly on both sides, about 15 seconds. Cut each baked tortilla into 8 pieces.

Fry them in a deep pot with boiling oil.

Remove the homemade chips and place them into a plate. You don't need to place them onto kitchen paper, since it won't absorb the fat.

For the sauce:

Finely chop the pickles and pour them into a suitable container. Add the sour cream, garlic granules, salt and mix well.

Serve the chips with the prepared garlic sauce.

Tip: If you like a spicy food, add 2 teaspoons of ground chili to your flour, while kneading.
