Ingredients

  • filo pastry sheets - 9 oz (250 g)
  • minced meat - 9 oz (250 g) of mixture
  • beef broth - 1/2 cup (or water)
  • white cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • oil - 4 - 5 tbsp. + for sprinkling
  • leek - 1 stalk
  • black pepper - 1 - 2 pinches
  • salt - 2 - 3 pinches
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • milk - 6.1 fl oz (180 ml)

How to make

Clean and chop the leek stalk. Fry it over moderate heat in the oil, until it softens and begins to brown.

Add the minced meat, water, salt and black pepper and stir, until it changes color and becomes crumbly. Allow the prepared filo pastry pie filling to cool for about 10-15 minutes.

Roll out the filo pastry pie sheets and spread the minced meat and crumbled cheese filling on two sheets at a time. You can also drip a little oil here and there.

Roll the sheets two by two like this, then arrange them in a snail shape in a round baking pan.

When the twisted filo pastry pie is shaped, drizzle a little more oil over it and pour it with the beaten eggs with the milk and a pinch of salt.

Bake the filo pastry pie with minced meat and white cheese in an oven heated to 360°F (180°C) for 30-35 minutes or until it acquires an appetizing color.
