  • goat cheese - 7 oz (200 g) soft
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • breadcrumbs - for rolling
  • oil - for frying
  • blueberry topping - 2 - 3 tbsp.
  • strawberry topping - 2 - 3 tbsp.
  • mint leaves - for decoration

How to make

The goat cheese should be of the creamy kind - with a hard rind, cylindrical shape.

Choose the appropriate type of goat cheese that is similar in texture to Camembert, but the taste and shape are different. It is creamy on the inside and with a hard rind on the outside, like a little roll. Let it sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before cooking.

Beat the egg with a pinch of salt and prepare the breadcrumbs in another plate. Heat the oil over medium to high heat. Its quantity should be enough to cover at least half of the cheese.

Roll the roll liberally first in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs, so that a thick layer of breading is obtained. Wait 1 minute for it to set and harden and drop it into the heated oil.

Fry, until a golden brown color is obtained on all sides and remove and place it onto kitchen paper to absorb the excess fat.

Place the cheese in a suitable wide dish and pour the blueberry topping over it. On the side, decorate with the strawberry and paint your favorite decoration. It looks beautiful even just dripping from the topping on the plate. Garnish it with fresh mint leaves and serve it.

This is a very easy and quick appetizer idea. At the same time, it has a sophisticated look and is incredibly suitable for festive occasions and special guests. With little effort - an impressive result.
