"We don`t know which artist or cook invented this version of kadaif, but its great"

Ingredients

  • raw kadaif - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • butter - 4.4 oz (125 g)
  • almonds
  • hazelnuts
  • walnuts
  • pistachios
  • for the syrup
  • sugar - 1.5 lb (700 g)
  • water - 2 1/2 cups (600 ml)
  • lemon peel - 1/2 pc.
  • lemon juice - 1/2 pc.
  • salt - 1 pinch

How to make

The butter is melted. It is poured over the kadaif and with the help of hands it is well greased.

Take a little of the kadaif and roll it on your finger. Place it in a silicone muffin tin, byforming a nest shape.

The nuts are coarsely crushed. The nuts are placed in the middle of the nest.

Bake at 360°F (180°C), until they aquire an appetizing color.

Leave them to cool in the molds.

The sugar is poured with the water and a thick syrup is boiled. Add the salt, grated lemon peel and lemon juice.

Leave the syrup to cool.

The Nightingale Nests are filled with 2-3 tbsp. of the syrup.

Crispy and syrup-soaked very delicious Nightingale Nests are obtained.
