Ingredients

  • flour - 1 1/2 cups
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • water - 1/2 cup
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp. or soda
  • salt - a pinch
  • walnuts - a handful
  • turkish delight - 1 box (lokum)
  • For rolling
  • powdered sugar
  • vanilla

How to make

Boil the water and oil in a saucepan on the stove.

As soon as the mixture boils, add the baking powder and salt and remove the saucepan from the heat.

Pour the sifted flour all at once and mix with a wooden spoon, until a hot moist dough is obtained.

While the dough is still warm, tear off small pieces from it and form circles with your palm.

In the middle, place a piece of Turkish delight and a quarter of a walnut.

Roll them into balls and arrange them in a tray lined with baking paper.

Bake them in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C), until the sweets aquire an appetizing color.

When the Vegan Christmas Sweets are ready, while they are still warm, roll them in powdered sugar, in which you have added one vanilla.
