Ingredients

  • blackcurrant - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • sugar - 1.8 lb (800 g)
  • citric acid - 1/2 tsp.
  • vanilla powder - 1 pc (0.2 g)

How to make

The blackcurrant is cleaned and washed. Put it in a baking pan and pour the sugar. Leave it for a day in the refrigerator, or outside.

The next day, take it out and leave it for another hour. Then bake it in the oven at 150-160°C, until the desired thickness is obtained.

Add the citric acid and after five minutes take it out and fill jars with a screw on lid and turn the hot jars upside down. They should be left like that for a night.

The jam is not sterilized.

The blackcurrant jam is ready.
