"Peach Julep is an alcoholic cocktail, which brightens the mood on every holiday"

Ingredients

  • peaches - 10.5 oz (300 g) peeled, pitted
  • mint - 8 sprigs (only the leaves)
  • sugar - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • water - 1 cup (240 ml)
  • sparkling water - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • bourbon - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • ice - about 12 cubes
measures

How to make

Place a pot of water, sugar and mint leaves on the stove. Boil them for about 10 minutes under the lid and remove them from the heat, by leaving the pot covered to steam and then the liquid to cool.

Prepare a fine puree from the peaches, by blending them in a blender or pureeing at high speed.

Strain the mint infusion and mix it with the peach puree. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator.

Add ice cubes and some bourbon (by taste) into individual glasses. Pour the chilled aromatic mint and peach mixture and top it up with sparkling water.

Serve the cocktail immediately.

Cheers!
