Ingredients

  • cold butter - 7 oz (200 g)
  • sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
  • flour - 1 lb (450 g)
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • vanilla powder - 1 package (0.2 g)
  • biscuits - 2 pcs.
  • cherry jam - 1/2 jar (about 200 g)
  • cherries - 5.3 oz (150 g)

How to make

Put the flour in a bowl and mix it with the baking powder.

Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour. Use your fingers to knead into a crumbly butter dough.

Add the egg, sugar, salt, vanilla and knead. until you form a ball. Transfer the dough into cling film, wrap and refrigerate it for 30 minutes.

Separate a small part of it and roll the rest out into a circle.

Line the tray with baking paper and place the rolled out dough in it by pulling a small border along the sides. Spread it with the jam and add the pitted cherries.

Sprinkle with the crushed biscuits. Fold the dough inward, which is on the walls of the form.

Roll out the rest of the dough, cut out the shapes you want and place them on the cherries.

Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes.

The cherry jam pie is ready.
