"Invite summer into your kitchen with this gorgeous fruit pie with canned apricots"

Ingredients

  • butter dough - 13 oz (375 g)
  • peach jam - 2 tbsp.
  • apricots - 0.9 lb (400 g) canned (halved)
  • cherries - 1.4 oz (40 g) halved
  • butter - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • powdered sugar - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • flour - 0.9 oz (25 g)
  • baking powder - 2 tsp (10 g)
  • ground almonds - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • lemon peel
  • cinnamon - a pinch
  • milk - 2 tbsp.
  • almond flakes - 0.9 oz (25 g)

How to make

Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C). Roll out the dough into a thin crust. Spread it on the bottom of a pie mold with a diameter of 9″ (23 cm).

Pierce it with a fork. Spread the dough with jam. Put one cherry in each apricot and cover them with jam.

Cover the whole mold. Beat the butter and sugar, until an airy mixture is obtained.

Beat the eggs, the sifted flour along with the baking powder, the ground almonds, the lemon peel, the cinnamon and the milk. Apply the mixture with a spatula and sprinkle with almond flakes.

Bake the fruit pie at 390°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes, then reduce the heat to 360°F (180°C) and bake for 90 minutes or until the mixture is firm to the touch.

The fruit pie with apricots is very tasty.
