How to make
For the sugar syrup, mix equal amounts of sugar and water in a pot on the hob. Add grated lemon peel and the cinnamon stick inside.
Add the lemon slices to the mixture to flavor the syrup further.
Leave the mixture to boil. When the syrup thickens enough, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool completely.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon into a bowl. Melt the butter.
Grab a filo pastry sheet, grease it with oil and place a second one on top of it. Spread a tablespoon of sesame tahini on each pair of filo pastry sheets. Sprinkle them generously with cinnamon sugar and roll them up and then shape them into a spiral. Repeat, until you run out of products.
Arrange the cinnamon rolls in a baking pan, grease them with butter and sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar.
Bake the sweet filo pastries in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) oven for 12-15 minutes.
Pour the chilled sugar syrup over the cinnamon pastries while they are still hot and serve them.
