How to make
Sift the flour along with the baking powder and salt. Add the sugar, coconut shavings, lard, milk, vanilla sugar and citrus peels - finely grated and without the white parts.
Beat with a mixer with dough attachments or in a blender, since the dough isn't as thick, in order to be suitable for a piping bag.
Fill a piping bag with a curly or star shaped tip, in order to shape the Christmas wreath or snowflake cookies with it.
Pipe them out at a short distance from each other in a tray covered with baking paper.
Bake them at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, depending on their size and thickness.
You will be able to tell when they are ready, once their edges aquire an appetizing color and the irresistible aroma spreads throughout your kitchen.
When the Christmas spritz cookies cool down, decorate them to your liking or sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
The recipe is for 1 dose, so if you want more cookies, double it or add more products for two or more trays.
