How to make
Cut the peppers in half lengthwise and carefully clean them from the seeds. Add salt and set them aside while you prepare the filling.
Cut the onion into crescents and stew them, until they soften in a little oil. Add the sliced mushrooms and shortly afterwards the sliced pork.
Cook for a few minutes, until the meat is completely cooked. If necessary, you can add a little water to stew and soften it. Season with salt and black pepper.
Arrange the peppers in a suitable greased baking pan. Season with salt and black pepper, put a slice in each pepper, put the stuffing on top and cover with more cheese.
Bake the stuffed peppers for a few minutes in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees) to melt the cheese. Serve them with sauce or a garnish of your choice.
