How to make
Mix all of the ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan on the hob. Boil the sauce and wait for it to reduce, while stirring at all times.
Clean, peel and slice the pineapple. Separate a small amount from the fruit and cut it into small cubes for the sauce. Add them to the mixture shortly before removing it from the heat. Cut the remaining pineapple into large cubes for the skewers.
Add salt and season the chicken with black pepper. Cut it into large cubes. Cut the onions and peppers into large pieces as well.
String the skewers by alternating chicken, pineapple, onion and pepper. Cook them on a preheated grill pan with a little olive oil. Garnish the prepared skewers with the sweet and sour sauce and serve them.
