How to make
Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water with a pinch of sugar. Leave it to rise and add it to the sifted flour, add salt and start mixing. Knead about 8 minutes, until you get a smooth and elastic dough. Cover it and let it rise in a warm place for 2 hours, until doubled in volume.
Then knead once more for a few minutes and let it rise for 2 more hours. Then shape it into a roll with a length of 23.5″ (60 cm) and a diameter of 2″ (5 cm). Cut it into pieces with a thickness of 2″ (5 cm).
Roll out each piece, brush lightly with oil and make florets, or some other curled shape. Steam thus prepared buns for 20 minutes, then fry until golden in preheated oil. Optionally, serve with sesame seeds and soya sauce.
