How to make
Knead a soft dough from the flour, oil, salt and lukewarm water. Divide the dough into 6 balls and roll them out with a diameter of 8″ (20 cm). Cover them with a damp cloth and allow to rest for half an hour. During this time, prepare your fortunes, by wrapping each in aluminum foil.
Then roll out the pitas into thin sheets. Brush half of each with melted lard and cover with the dry half. Fold both ends together and put the thus prepared balls in a plastic bag. Put the bag with the 6 balls in the refrigerator for about 1 hour. Then roll out each ball into a thin crust of the largest possible size.
Smear each crust with lard, stuffing (crumbled feta cheese and eggs) and put the fortunes in randomly. Wrap the crusts into rolls and arrange them in a greased dish in a snail-shell pattern. Cover the top with lard and butter again and put them to bake in a moderately heated oven until ready.
