Ingredients

  • milk - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • strawberries - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • flour - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • butter - 2/5 cup (100 g) melted
  • yeast - 1/2 packet of dry
  • eggs - 2
  • powdered sugar - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • rum - 2 tablespoons

How to make

Preheat the oven to 390°F (200 °C). Smear an appropriate baking form with some butter and flour. Mix the flour, yeast, eggs, milk, melted butter, salt and rum in a dish.

Add them gradually and be careful not to have lumps form. Pour the mixture into the form and neatly stack the washed and dried strawberries on top, whole or cut into two.

Bake the cake for at least 30 minutes.
