"Sometimes we buy extra amounts of white bread on purpose, just so we can make juicy French Toast when it dries."
- bread - 10.5 oz (300), dry white
- milk - 2 cups (500 ml)
- eggs - 2
- butter - 1/3 cup (80 g)
- vanilla - 1
- powdered sugar - for sprinkling
measuresHow to make
Cut the bread into uniform slices. Heat the milk and mix it with the eggs, beaten as if for an omelette.
Dip each slice of bread into the mixture and fry until golden brown in a pan with the heated oil.
Sprinkle the slices with powdered sugar, mixed with vanilla. Serve hot.
