How to make
Cut the onions into 0.2″ (0.5 cm) thick rings.
Combine the flour, corn starch, baking powder, black pepper, garlic powder and salt into a large bowl.
Add the sparkling water gradually while stirring, until you achieve a smooth, thick batter.
Dip the onion rings into the batter, and then roll them into the breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil and fry the crispy onion rings, until golden brown for 1-2 minutes.
Place the cooked rings on kitchen paper, to absorb the excess oil.
Serve hot with beer, or a drink of your preference.
