"I got hungry as soon as I heard `stew` but when I found out it`s going to have meatballs too - I can`t wait for it to be ready."

Ingredients

  • mince - 17.5 oz (500 g), pork
  • potatoes - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • eggs - 1
  • green onions - 1 - 2 bunches
  • green garlic - 1 sprig
  • carrots - 1
  • peppers - 1, green
  • tomato juice - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • parsley - 1 bunch
  • oil - 3 tablespoons
  • salt
  • cumin
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • savory - to taste

How to make

Mix the minced meat with 1 egg, salt, black pepper and paprika, cumin and savory. Knead well and make small balls out of it. Fry them in hot oil and drain them on a napkin.

Successively, put the onions, garlic, carrots, pepper and potatoes cut into small pieces in the same oil to fry. Season with paprika and salt and add 3 1/3 cups (800 ml) of hot water.

Allow the dish to a boil and put in the meatballs with the tomato juice. Allow the stew to boil until the potatoes become tender. Serve the dish with chopped parsley if desired.
