Ingredients

  • basmati rice - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • water - 2 and 1/2 cups (500 ml) for soaking
  • mineral water - 7 and 1/2 cups (1.5 l)
  • lemon - 1 pc.
  • sesame oil - 1 tbsp.
  • vanilla powder - 2 packets (4 g) or 0.3 oz (8 g) of vanilla sugar
  • honey - 1.75 oz (50 g) or by taste (or another sweetener)

How to make

Basmati rice has its own very specific aroma, which cannot be mistaken.

It prepares wonderful dishes and side dishes, but we can enjoy its useful ingredients and aromas through this interesting drink that I am going to present to you.

It can be consumed hot or cold and it is great in both ways.

To prepare this healthy and unusual drink for detoxification, you need to soak the basmati rice in water for about 6 hours. After this time, you will notice that it has become more fluffy, slightly swollen and milky white.

Heat a liter and a half of mineral water to 70°C and pour the strained rice into it.

Add the peel of 1 peeled lemon - only the yellow part and sesame oil, honey and vanilla.

Blend everything for 30 seconds in a blender at maximum speed. If the capacity of the appliance does not allow you to blend the whole amount at once, then do it twice.

Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth and pour the finished drink into a glass bottle or jug.

You can serve it while it is hot or refrigerate it.

If desired, sweeten the Basmati rice and lemon drink additionally and serve it with lemon slices.

Basmati rice contains amylase, many valuable minerals such as sodium, calcium, magnesium and B vitamins.
